CHICKEN A LA KING
  • 1/4 C onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 C celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 C green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 C pimento, chopped
  • 4 oz. Mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 3 C chicken or turkey, cooked and cubed
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 10 oz. Can cream of mushroom soup
  • 13 oz. Can evaporated milk
Put all ingredients into an electric slow cooker; mix. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, or until thoroughly heated; stir once. Serve in patty shells or over hot fluffy rice.

HUNGARIAN GOULASH
  • 2 lb. round steaks, cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 1 C chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbs. Flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can tomatoes
  • 1 C sour cream
  • noodles
Put steak cubes, onion, garlic in crockpot. Stir in flour and mix to coat steak cubes. Add all remaining ingredients except sour cream. Stir well. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours (or high 4-5 hours). Add sour cream 30 minutes before serving, and stir in thoroughly.

NORMANDY CHICKEN WITH WAPPLES
  • 3 C apple cider
  • 3 boxes leek soup mix
  • 2 tsp. Dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. Grated nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 lb. Red new potatoes, peeled and diced
    (don't bother to peel)
  • 4 celery ribs, thinly sliced
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 apples, cored and cut into 16 wedges each
  • 3/4 C dried cranberries
  • 2 lb. Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, halved crosswise
In crockpot, combine the cider, dry soup mix, thyme and nutmeg. Stir to blend. Add potatoes, celery, onions, apples, and cranberries. Tuck the chicken down into the mixture. Cover and cook on low at least 8 hours, making sure the potatoes are tender. Serve over noodles - incredibly delicious!
